SPRINGFIELD - For the 33rd year, the Realtor Association of Pioneer Valley has awarded scholarships to area high school graduates.
This year, $10,647 worth of scholarships was awarded to 20 students. The awards were presented on June 12 at the Log Cabin Banquet House in Holyoke.
The honored students from Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin counties were:
Sean R. Auclair, the son of Barbara and John Auclair of Ludlow, and a graduate of Ludlow High School, who will attend Rivier College, majoring in criminal justice;
Michael W. Bigos, a graduate of Chicopee High School and the son of William and Claire Bigos of Chicopee, who will attend the University of Massachusetts to major in engineering;
Anthony J. Bortolussi, son of Victor and Susan Bortolussi of Westfield, and a graduate of Westfield High School, who will attend Holyoke Community College, majoring in computer engineering;
Shawn W. Bowman, the son of Gary and Kelly Bowman of Sunderland, and a graduate of Frontier Regional High School, who will attend UMass to major in accounting. He is the recipient of a Catherine McInenry Memorial Love of Life Award;
Neil A. Carroll, a graduate of Longmeadow High School and the son of William and Karen Carroll of Longmeadow, who will attend Assumption College to major in business;
Courtney M. Chisholm, daughter of Scott and Michelle Chisholm of Westfield, and a graduate of Westfield High School, who will attend Wheelock College to major in human development and child life;
Jessica C. Diaz, the daughter of Celestino and Evelyn Diaz of Springfield, and a graduate of Putnam Vocational Technical High School, who will attend American International College and major in nursing;
